Oil Spill Affects Fish Life, Study Shows

In Baton Rouge, LA, the new Louisiana State University study showed the Deepwater Horizon oil spill’s effects on all the living fishes in Louisiana marshes and revealed that a problem could affect the seafood industry’s future.

The study was conducted biological sciences’ professors Fernando Galvez and Andrew Whitehead. Before, they have also studied about the killfish during and after the oil spill.

Whitehead said, “An important message from this study is that, even though chemical burdens in the bodies of fish may be low and they may be safe to eat, that doesn't mean that the fish are healthy or that they are reproducing properly.”

We will carefully review the proposed rules and look forward to continuing to work with BOEMRE to ensure that requirements for workplace safety, the environment and continued energy production are met. Obama’s Worst Decision on Clean Air Act

Last Friday, September 2, 2011, President Barack Obama gave in to GOP demands by withdrawing the plans to strengthen the nation’s public health standard for ozone pollution under the Clean Air Act.

The worst aspect of Obama’s bad decision is that he gave an official blessing to the polluter’s worst propaganda and perpetuated the decades-old belief that public health and environment protection must be traded off against jobs. However, the health and environment safeguards do not destroy jjob, instead they make them most especially during a recession.

Oil Slick Discovered in Gulf

A California non-profit organization which was built to protect and preserve the wildlife has discovered what seems to be a massive oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico near the area of the original Deepwater Horizon spill.

During the flight of the pilot and also OnWingsOfCare.org founder Dr. Bonny Schumaker last Tuesday in the gulf, he observed an oil slick that spread as long as 10 miles.

Also, last week, two men from Louisiana State University rode a boat to the gulf and taped a video evidence of large blooms of crude oil swelling up to the water’s surface where the doomed oil rig once hovered.

However, BP still denied all these.
